These features work today with the published Helio and app, for the Pro accounts in our trial. Anything built but not yet open is not on this list.
AvailableYour PCs from anywhere, no network setup
The PC connects to our service on its own: nothing to open on the router or your client’s firewall, and nobody needs to sit at the screen once the Windows session is open. If a direct connection fails, the session goes through our relay. A few very locked-down corporate networks still block it.
AvailableA browser is enough, iPhone included
From a computer, tablet, iPhone or Android phone, a recent browser is enough. Nothing to install on your side.
AvailableApps for iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and Android
In testing: iPhone, iPad and Apple TV apps are not available on the public App Store; Android as an APK downloaded directly, outside the Play Store. On a computer, you use the browser.
AvailableScreen, sound and controls
You see the PC screen, hear its sound and control it with keyboard, mouse or touch. When the PC has a graphics card, the card encodes the picture.
AvailableThe right display, even with none
On a PC with several displays, you pick the one to show. Lume can also create a virtual display sized for your device, then restore the original desktop when the session ends.
AvailableYour PCs filed by client
In the Pro space, each PC belongs to its client. Search finds a client, a PC or a hypervisor.
AvailableSeveral people, one pair of hands
Other people can follow the session. Only one has keyboard and mouse at a time, and taking control requires a security code.
AvailableRemote power, behind a code
Lock, sleep, restart or shut down the PC remotely. Sensitive actions require a security code.
AvailableTwo-factor authentication for Pro
Pro accounts enter a one-time code before reaching the fleet, with recovery codes if the phone is lost.
AvailableAn encrypted session
When the session runs over WebRTC, which is the normal case, video, sound and controls are encrypted end to end between the PC and your device: the relay forwards the packets without decrypting them. If WebRTC cannot connect, a fallback transport goes through our relay, encrypted in transit but not end to end; a fix is planned.
AvailableSigned updates
Every Helio update is signed, and Helio checks the signature before installing it.
AvailablePublisher and relay in Europe
Lume is published in France by a sole trader. Accounts and the relay are hosted in the European Union.
